Dr. Angela Wandera Dr. Angela Wandera is a dual-trained Orthodontist and Pediatric Dentist. She started the only Pediatric Dentistry practice in Eden Prairie in 2004, and she has been successfully serving children and families of Eden Prairie and surrounding communities since then.She obtained her dental education at the University of Nairobi, and both her Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic residencies and graduate degrees at the University of Minnesota. Her private practice experience began in Nairobi where she worked in one of the premier dental offices. She has since worked with pediatric patients in clinics in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Minneapolis, Inver Grove Heights, and Rosemount and currently at Dr. Angela Wandera and Associates in Eden Prairie, where her patients continue to be her source of joy and inspiration. She has privileges at Children’s Hospital of Minnesota, is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry, and has specific interest and clinical experience in orthodontics and the growth and development of the child and adolescent patient. Her work in teaching and academics includes the University of Nairobi, University of Minnesota, University of Missouri – Kansas City, University of Michigan, and currently, Hennepin HealthCare Pediatric Dentistry, mentoring future Pediatric Dentistry specialists. Dr. Wandera has been appointed to Editorial Boards in “Pediatric Dentistry” and “Journal of Dentistry for Children” – both key journals of the specialty. She has contributed to numerous professional courses as an invited speaker and has authored multiple scholarly articles. She is the recipient of professional and literary awards and has been nominated to local and national “Top and Best Dentist” rosters. Dr. Wandera currently maintains membership with the Minnesota and American Dental Associations, as well as the Minnesota and American Associations of Orthodontics and the Minnesota and American Academies of Pediatric Dentistry. She has continued to develop her knowledge and skills by attending professional education courses regularly. Her passion for and commitment to service is fed through her involvement in Rotary, a service organization. Dr. Wandera lives in Eden Prairie and enjoys travel and the arts, with Italy as her favorite destination.      |
